Work in the open-air laboratory that is Rome, learning how to create multi-use places with a consistent and recognizable image, and thereby helping to steer our society toward sustainable transformations and a more inclusive future.
Offices, airports, hospitals, schools, restaurants and stores, museums or event sites, and even more private settings like villas and apartment buildings are just some of the places you'll create during your three-year degree programme at IED Roma.
Through collaboration, we will create narratives that thrive in the realms of human experience and consciousness, bringing those realms to life through the expression of emotion, the provision of conveniences, and the facilitation of processes.
At the end of the course you get First Level Academic Diploma in Design (Specialization in Interior Design). This Diploma, accredited by Ministry of University and Research, is equivalent to a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

Requirements for applicants
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS FOR 1ST LEVEL ACADEMIC DIPLOMA COURSES
In order to be eligible to apply for a 1st Level Academic Diploma Programme (equivalent to a Bachelor of Arts Degree), students must hold qualifications which meet all of the following core requirements:
- the qualification is an official upper secondary school leaving qualification from the foreign education system of reference;
- the qualification allows entry to first - cycle academic courses in the foreign education system of reference;
- the qualification was awarded after a minimum of 12 years of previous overall schooling and after at least 2 full years of attendance in the educational system that issued the diploma;
- where compulsorily required in the education system of the country of origin, students are also requested to pass an academic suitability test/national university entrance exam
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
To prove their proficiency in the required language, the applicant must either:
- submit one of the accepted language certificates listed in the table below (the certificate cannot have been awarded more than 2 years before the application is made to IED);
- take the IED language assessment.

About the university
Since 1966, we have been the largest Higher Education Network in the creative area to keep both a worldwide perspective and a strongly Italian cultural matrix.

Campuses
In the 1970s and 1980s, we expanded to Rome (1973), Cagliari (1984), and Turin (1989) in Italy.
Beginning in 1994 with the Madrid campus and continuing on to Barcelona in 2002, Spain's modern era began in the 1990s.
The Group also spread internationally, establishing a presence in Sao Paulo, Brazil, in 2005, and then in Venice, Italy, in 2007, Florence, Italy, in 2009, and Como, Italy, in 2009, with the acquisition of the Aldo Galli Academy of Fine Arts. The Group expanded its footprint in Brazil in 2014 by renovating the Cassino da Urca and opening a campus in Rio de Janeiro; in 2020, the Group will expand its presence in Spain by purchasing the Centro Superior de Diseo Kunsthal in Bilbao.
