Program description
This innovative course is taught in conjunction with Etro, a global leader in Luxury Italian Fashion, and Manteco, a global leader in textiles, sustainability, and high-quality fabrics since 1943, allowing students to gain real-world, hands-on industry experience across the fashion, materials, and artistic network.
This curriculum is built on experimental projects with a fresh perspective on textiles and other materials. Participants will gain valuable analytical skills and transferable problem-solving talents through this course, making them well-suited for careers in fields including R&D, product design, and strategic planning.

Requirements for applicants
Candidates must have a sufficient command of the English or the chosen language of the course to be able to meet the requirements of the programme in every respect.
When considering the suitability of an applicant for a place on the programme the Admissions team will usually take the following factors into account:
- three years degree or equivalent;
- the applicant’s qualifications;
- the information given in supporting academic references;
- the applicant’s personal statement;
- a portfolio of work (if appropriate to the subject).
About the university
In 1935, Milanese tailor Giulio Marangoni established Istituto, which by 1942 had evolved into the Scuola Professionale Artistica. While the school's focus was initially on educating pattern makers and seamstresses, it shifted to fashion design, product development, and marketing in the 1970s and 1980s.
