Program description

Social work is a rewarding and challenging profession. With individuals, families, and groups, you'll work to improve the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in society.

There are numerous specializations to choose from, such as working with children or adolescents, adults with disabilities, or those with mental health issues. Whether in hospitals, people's homes, classrooms, or the community, social workers spend a lot of time with the people they serve.

There is a need for patience, non-judgement, and ability to communicate with a wide range of people. LSBU's MA in Social Work has been running for more than 30 years.

With our graduates, you can apply for registration as a social worker with Social Work England and work in a variety of settings, from local governments to starting your own business.
