Program description
Through an experience-based curriculum, the Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Education Studies degree assists students in developing their teaching, planning, and instructional design abilities.
Students majoring in education studies investigate educational theory and use what they learn in classroom and community contexts. The curriculum includes classroom instruction where students can hone their practical abilities in order to get ready for a career in teaching.
The Education Studies program trains students for positions in alternative educational contexts, like private schools, nonprofit organizations, and museums, rather than leading to certification or state licensure as teachers. Opportunities in instructional design, training and development, or education program management may also arise with a degree in education studies.
