Students in NEC's Bachelor of Arts in Physical Education K–12 professional educator preparation program learn planning and teaching strategies that promote a child's general well-being.
Students majoring in physical education (PE) study kinesiology, biomechanics, and exercise physiology to improve their comprehension of fitness and physical movement. With coursework on teaching strategies, physical education evaluations, and movement instruction, they subsequently bring their academic expertise to the classroom.
To prepare students for careers in K–12 physical education or a related discipline, the BA in Physical Education curriculum includes a practical field practicum and student teaching experience.
