Program description

In the Master of Fine Arts (MFA) - Cinematography program, students cultivate a diverse array of talents to further their artistic aspirations in cinematography. This expedited graduate program immerses students in a distinctive, collaborative setting that prioritizes practical, experiential training in cinematography and associated facets of filmmaking. Students acquire the essentials of visual narrative and cinematographic technique via intense workshops, individual projects, and thorough evaluations.

Students enhance their expertise with various advanced camera systems, both film and digital, while acquiring skills to oversee the implementation of intricate lighting designs. Throughout the execution of a series of demanding assignments, culminating in a final Thesis Film, students develop content for an engaging cinematography reel that demonstrates their proficiency and adaptability as cinematographers. Crucially, the student cinematographers will adeptly use the visual instruments of film to convey significant narratives.
