Program description

The Master of Fine Arts (MFA) - Game Design program at NYFA provides learners with the tools, philosophy, and technique of visual storytelling in an interactive medium while also developing their programming and design skills. MFA students learn about everything from early digital games to cutting-edge 3D graphics via hands-on, project-based learning. Every semester, students create a playable, portfolio-quality game in our Game Studio classes.

MFA students complete their studies by studying the history, business, and ethics of video games. Students who complete the MFA in Game Design will have competence in game design, as well as a selection of their greatest game material for personal portfolios.
