Program description

A broad variety of engineering practice is covered by our Mechanical Engineering Design degree. You'll gain valuable knowledge while concentrating on computer-based engineering design.

You'll learn how to translate fundamental engineering concepts into design options. Additionally, get answers to issues facing the sector. To build your own design solutions for your work portfolio, you'll take design concepts and translate them into computer models.

You’ll learn in state-of-the-art facilities with industry standard software including:

  • CAD packages
  • stress and dynamics analysis packages
  • computational fluid dynamics
  • engine simulation software
  • specialised vehicle-performance simulation software

We offer excellent work placements with our industry partners. And many graduates take jobs with their placement company. Our graduates work at top engineering companies, including:

  • Jaguar
  • Reaction Engines
  • Blatchford Products.
