Program description
Our Physiotherapy course encompasses physical and psychological approaches to health and wellness. The course is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy(CSP). The National Health Service (NHS) values are woven into the course and our recruitment process. You must be kind and respectful. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities are required.
On the course you will:
- learn in clinical settings with international and national reputations
- undertake the 1,000 hours of clinical practice required to qualify as a chartered physiotherapist
You'll be completely ready to work in the current healthcare industry after you graduate. Over 90% of our graduates are employed after graduation.
Your course modules are all compulsory and credit bearing. We use an enquiry based approach. This means you will link knowledge from different fields in a clinical scenario and develop your independent learning.
You will have your own academic adviser and link lecturer while on placement. They will help you with your academic, professional and clinical development.
Physiotherapists work in neurology, respiratory care, orthopaedics, musculoskeletal diseases, geriatrics, and paediatrics. Sport, industry, and private practice offer opportunities. Many physiotherapists specialize in practice, teaching, health promotion, or management. Physiotherapists sometimes become NHS consultants. Others become sports or ergonomics experts. Career options are plentiful.
