Program description
From a variety of theoretical vantage points, our PGCert Education - Children's Literature course provides you with an overview of the tumultuous and singular path that children's literature has undergone from its inception to the present.
You will gain knowledge of the many narrative construction techniques used in texts. And how you may use this component of your topic expertise in the primary classroom to help kids learn how to enjoy reading a variety of texts.
You will also explore a variety of texts currently available including:
- classic texts
- picture books
- novels in verse form
- literature in translation
- digital texts
