Program description
Risk management has become more and more important in the operations of banks and other financial organizations in recent years. The task of balancing returns, risks, and capital is made more difficult by the advent of new risks (such as cyber, ESG, etc.), the evolution of old risks due to an increasingly unpredictable and turbulent world, and, more generally, the transformation of business models.
These needs are interpreted by the International Master in Financial Risk Management program at the POLIMI Graduate School of Management, with a focus on digital and quantitative aspects.
In order to keep you interested throughout lessons, guest lectures, company presentations, seminars, and the project work done in conjunction with businesses, the program incorporates hands-on, practical activities.

Project work/internship

You will have the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge acquired during the programme through a mandatory internship that can last for up to 6 months. During the course of the internship, you will work on the final Project Work, an interdisciplinary project, the objective of which is to focus on issues of relevance in the current financial risk market specifically, and on topics proposed by partner companies. You will present the final report before a committee following the completion of the internship and coursework.
