Program description
Assistant/Technicians in the Medical Laboratory play crucial roles in patient treatment. They take blood and conduct electrocardiograms on patients in a direct interaction with the patient.
They help out in the lab by organizing and preparing samples for testing, running rudimentary tests under supervision, operating laboratory equipment, and managing data in computers.
The first two semesters of this program are spent in our classrooms and labs, and the last four weeks are spent doing fieldwork in the laboratories of our hospital and private institution partners. As part of their education, students are required to participate in field placements, which the College coordinates and funds.
