Program description
Students in this program learn the basics of business with an emphasis on accounting and finance. Topics covered in this area include financial and cost accounting, taxation, and the use of accounting software.
Acquire up-to-date proficiency in the use of workplace-relevant IT tools like Microsoft Excel, tax preparation software, and bookkeeping systems. To help you adapt what you've learned in the program to real-world scenarios, your coursework will include some case-based learning.
The Continuing Education Department at SLC provides students with the chance to earn a payroll certification.

- Ontario Secondary School Diploma, or equivalent
- Grade 12 English at the C or U level
- Grade 11 Math at the C, U or M level
