Program description
This curriculum combines classroom instruction with hands-on training to prepare students for careers working with children (from birth to age 12) and their families in a wide range of early childhood settings.
Graduates have a deep grasp of child development from infancy through early adolescence and can use this knowledge to design learning environments that are stimulating, safe, and fun for all children.
Beginning in the first year of study, students participate in a total of 630 hours of fieldwork spread across three different early childhood education settings. Students benefit from this opportunity because they are able to put academic knowledge into practice.
This course is available at our Kingston and Cornwall locations.
