Program description
This curriculum combines classroom learning with fieldwork to prepare students to work with children (from birth to age 12) and their families in a wide range of early childhood settings.
The program's graduates are well-versed in child development from infancy to adolescence and equipped to use that knowledge to design learning spaces that are adaptive, welcoming, and centered on play.
Beginning in the very first year of study, students participate in a total of 630 hours of fieldwork in three different settings dedicated to the education of young children. Students are able to put their academic knowledge and abilities to use in a more realistic setting.
This course is available at our Kingston and Cornwall locations.
