Join our team to become a leader in fitness and health promotion, a profession with many career options.
This two-year program combines personal and professional development, exercise science, fitness, health promotion, business management, and human relations. The Student Health & Athletic Centre on the Kingston Campus will host several courses. Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certification from the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology and Certified Personal Trainer, Group Fitness, and Spin certifications from the Ontario Fitness Council are available to students (OFC).
Graduates will have 400 hours of work experience through two 5-week work placements in health promotion, inclusive fitness, injury prevention and management, fitness assessment and/or personal training, occupational health, and corporate wellness.
According to the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development, this program promotes fitness and health.

Admission requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma, or equivalent
- Grade 12 English at the C or U level
- Grade 11 Math at the C, U or M level
- Grade 11 or 12 Biology at the C or U level (or PSK4U)
English Proficiency requirements are:
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS)-Academic - Overall 6.0 with no band less than 5.5 (SDS requires an overall 6.0, with no band less than 6.0)
- TOEFL Internet-based Test (iBT) or Home Edition - 78
- TOEFL Computer-based Test - 213
- Canadian Academic English Language (CAEL. In-person or Online)* - overall 60
- EIKEN (Test in Practical English Proficiency)* - pre 1
- The Michigan English Test* - Overall 58 with no individual score below 56, ECCE/ECPE 650 or higher
