Program description
The curriculum teaches welding technology at the technician level and prepares students for the demands of the welding industry. This market requires graduates with a greater degree of theory as well as the practical abilities required to compete in an industry with an ever-increasing level of complexity.
This two-year program graduates are eligible for an Ontario College Diploma. They also receive all of the in-school training required to meet the criteria of the provincially run Welder apprenticeship program.
Students can also challenge the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) certification in a variety of welding methods. This enables graduates to present documentation of CWB certification to prospective employers.
