Program description
The programme's goal is to develop professional engineers who can design and manage the built environment as well as building services systems. It is the first government-recognized Applied Degree program in engineering, combining theory and practice to cover energy-efficient design methods, data-driven energy management, and large-scale construction project management, with a strong emphasis on Building Information Modelling (BIM) technologies. Students benefit from extensive internships and tight business relationships, which help them gain practical skills and real-world experience. This degree, which is fully certified by the HKIE, provides a recognised road to become a Registered Professional Engineer, preparing graduates to thrive in the competitive engineering sector.

About the university
The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) was founded in 2012 and is a Vocational Training Council (VTC) member institute. THEi provides over 20 professional "Applied Science-Oriented" degree programs in seven academic areas: Product and Fashion Design, Sports and International Event Management, Digital Construction and Building Services, Horticulture, Arboriculture and Landscape Management, Chinese Medicine and Food Science, Hotel Management and Culinary Arts and Technology, and Digital Technology and Innovative Business.
