Program description
Programme Objectives
- Allow students to get a thorough understanding of both practical and theoretical knowledge of artistic and imaginative storytelling talents with broader views in the creative process.
- Develop students' repertoire of cinematic arts knowledge and abilities via practices and awareness of technology in the cultural and creative industries sectors.
- Equip students with the capacity to operate independently in their specialisation, as well as the ability to communicate and coordinate successfully with team members from diverse production specializations.
- Encourage pupils to be engaged learners and open-minded while exploring various types of cinematic arts and the advancement of arts and technology.
Career Prospects
Possible careers include director, screenwriter, assistant director, producer, virtual production specialist, virtual art specialist, and visual effects artist. Experienced candidates can advance to supervisor or production management positions.

Entrance Requirements for Year 3
- Completed THEi application form
- Appropriate level of English: IELTS Academic 5.5/TOEFL iBT 79
- Higher Diploma OR equivalent sub-degree qualifications/studies in a relevant area of study

- Additional core modules maybe required (with fee charged) for sub-degree graduates according to the educational background of individuals

About the university

The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) was founded in 2012 and is a Vocational Training Council (VTC) member institute.
