Program description

Programme Objectives

This curriculum seeks to foster students' creativity and design thinking. Students will be able to design effective advertising solutions through the process of performing research, analysis, implementation, and evaluation after gaining a thorough understanding of advertising theory and principles, as well as exploring knowledge and application of digital advertising. In addition to local market information, international aspects will be provided to students through visits or seminars that give corporate information and practical expertise taught by industry leaders. Practice makes perfect! We have strong connections with industry practitioners for internships and encourage students to showcase their originality in international contests. Current students and graduates excelled in a variety of local and international advertising contests, including the Red Dot Award and the HK4As Kam Fan Student Awards.

Career Prospects

Students who complete the program will have professional advertising skills, a strong marketing acumen, and an understanding of new media technologies, all of which are required in the industry for conducting advertising campaigns, digital marketing, branding design, interactive and online advertising, and transmedia and graphic communications design. They might become the next Creative Director, Brand Consultant, and Designer.

About the university

The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) was founded in 2012 and is a Vocational Training Council (VTC) member institute. THEi provides over 20 professional "Applied Science-Oriented" degree programs in seven academic areas: Product and Fashion Design, Sports and International Event Management, Digital Construction and Building Services, Horticulture, Arboriculture and Landscape Management, Chinese Medicine and Food Science, Hotel Management and Culinary Arts and Technology, and Digital Technology and Innovative Business.
