Program description
Programme Objectives
This program aims to prepare students to be "graduates of choice" in a rapidly changing global fashion design industry, as well as to prepare graduates to enter the workforce at a professional level, capable of engaging with emerging issues and opportunities, particularly in Mainland China. It also seeks to enhance students' creative and practical skills, as well as give a solid foundation in the academic and technical areas of fashion design and administration, preparing them to become masters of their craft and fashion industry professionals.
The Fashion Design Stream, Fashion Management Stream, and Study Options (Fashion Accessories Design, Knitwear Design, Specialised Fashion Design, Fashion Retailing, and Fashion Communication) are specifically designed to meet the needs of today's dynamic and rapidly changing fashion industry, enhancing and differentiating students' career opportunities.
Career Prospects
Fashion graduates can pursue a variety of careers in the fashion industry after completing the curriculum. Career opportunities include fashion designer, knitwear designer, fashion accessory designer, fashion merchandiser, product development, fashion buyer, fashion retailing, and fashion communication, among others.

About the university

The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) was founded in 2012 and is a Vocational Training Council (VTC) member institute. THEi provides over 20 professional "Applied Science-Oriented" degree programs in seven academic areas: Product and Fashion Design, Sports and International Event Management, Digital Construction and Building Services, Horticulture, Arboriculture and Landscape Management, Chinese Medicine and Food Science, Hotel Management and Culinary Arts and Technology, and Digital Technology and Innovative Business. These courses focus on industries with strong development potential in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region.
