Program description
Programme Objectives
The program aims to provide students with both technical and professional knowledge and skills via a studio-based curriculum that covers landscape planning, landscape design, landscape management, and environmental conservation. It is intended to give professional insight into the business by combining spatial design skills from the built environment with understanding of natural systems to create answers to challenges that are both visually appealing and sustainable. The program will focus on landscape planning and design, landscape project management, landscape theory and science, environmental conservation, tree management, and greening projects, combining the necessary intellectual and practical abilities to best meet the industry's needs.
Career Prospects
Landscape architects work on a variety of projects, including regional planning or development proposals, infrastructure projects, and land development; design for new or enhanced open space and streetscape, waterfront, and recreational complexes; landscape design and landscape planning for real estate developments; landscape and tree management, landscape and visual impact assessment; and environmental review and assessment. Graduates can find work in a variety of fields, including design, technology, and horticulture. They may work as landscape designers, assistant project managers, or field officers in government or contractor organizations.

About the university

The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) was founded in 2012 and is a Vocational Training Council (VTC) member institute.
