Program description
Programme Objectives
This curriculum seeks to give students with an educational experience that will help them develop their professional skills and attitudes. It also prepares students to become multidisciplinary product design experts capable of meeting both local and global demands. Furthermore, the curriculum seeks to cultivate and develop students' intellectual ability, practical talents, and professional traits. The curriculum promotes active participation in all elements of practice while maintaining the concept of project-based learning, which is deeply ingrained in design education. This encompasses a thorough comprehension of the subject's theoretical background as well as creative application to develop inventive yet practical results.
Career Prospects
Graduates will be equipped with professional knowledge of product design, awareness of new technology applications, and, marketing acumen to join the product design and development industry. You can begin your career as a designer, 3D artist, design engineer, project coordinator, project manager or product manager in various fields such as innovative product design, purchasing and merchandising, consumer electronics, digital entertainment, clocks, watches and jewelry, fashion and lifestyle products, home and kitchen products, automotive products,toys and children’s products as well as gift and premium.

About the university

The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) was founded in 2012 and is a Vocational Training Council (VTC) member institute. THEi provides over 20 professional "Applied Science-Oriented" degree programs in seven academic areas: Product and Fashion Design, Sports and International Event Management, Digital Construction and Building Services, Horticulture, Arboriculture and Landscape Management, Chinese Medicine and Food Science, Hotel Management and Culinary Arts and Technology, and Digital Technology and Innovative Business.
