Program description
The fast growth of Hong Kong's sports and leisure business has resulted in a high demand for sports and recreation professionals in recent years. The Program's goal is to instill in pupils a rigorous and intellectually stimulating academic program. Especially for individuals looking to pursue or develop their professions in the fundamental areas of sports coaching. This Programme emphasizes both theoretical and practical knowledge through high-quality education and training, while also developing students' professional skills through industrial job experience. Students are required to be professionally competent in their field after graduation (for example, sports coaching). Through offering this Programme, a steady supply of professionals in the afore-mentioned field have been, and will continue to be nurtured to support the rapid development of the industry in both the public and private sectors, and to improve the quality of life in the communities.

About the university

The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) was founded in 2012 and is a Vocational Training Council (VTC) member institute. THEi provides over 20 professional "Applied Science-Oriented" degree programs in seven academic areas: Product and Fashion Design, Sports and International Event Management, Digital Construction and Building Services, Horticulture, Arboriculture and Landscape Management, Chinese Medicine and Food Science, Hotel Management and Culinary Arts and Technology, and Digital Technology and Innovative Business. These courses focus on industries with strong development potential in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region.
