Program description
Consider the nature of the universe, humanity's position in it, proper individual and social behaviour, and what we can know.
Have you ever considered how the ideas of happiness, justice, and freedom have evolved over time and been shaped by history's great thinkers? Are you interested in the meaning of ideas and how ancient and modern cultures handled life's questions and human realities?
The study of information, reason, existence, and value is known as philosophy. Philosophy is a methodology as well as a study of issues and thinkers. The Big Questions are philosophical questions that deal with the most basic ways in which humanity interacts with and understands the world and itself. These inquiries concern ethics, knowledge, truth, beauty, existence, and other topics.
Asking and answering such inquiries necessitates the use of reason, logic, and other argumentative and judicious skills. The philosophical study of the Big Questions produces problem solving, text analysis, writing, difficult text deciphering, and unparalleled analytical skills. Combine these abilities with classical and current knowledge acquired from some of history's most influential thinkers, and you have a commanding degree.
Whether you use your Philosophy background as a springboard into a new profession or as preparation for a specific career goal, a foundation in philosophy is a valuable component of your education and future.
