Program description
A vibrant economy that can compete internationally and support a rising standard of living depends on the development of Canadians' business skills and energy. There is no greater sensation than that which comes from starting a successful new business endeavor and being respected by one's fellow citizens for making an addition to the local community, despite the fact that owning a small company entails significant risks and frequently lengthy hours. A thriving economy, a secure political climate, and closeness to the US market make Canada a great place to start a new business. An entrepreneurial job may be the best fit for innovative individuals with a strong work ethic and a low risk aversion.
Entrepreneurship Majors will learn how to conduct in-depth market research, create formal business plans, obtain startup funding, and continuously run small companies. It is anticipated that many students will launch their own businesses after graduating, having gained useful business experience and amassed the necessary stock money. A few will also go back to their hometowns to work for the family business in the hopes of one day taking it over.
After graduation, many students will launch their own businesses after gaining valuable industry exposure and saving the necessary equity capital. A few will also return home to work in the family business, hoping to ultimately take over.
