Program description
Opportunities for education include field studies like this one in Kenya. The Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies is a two-year degree program that students typically enter after two years of undergraduate study, or 60 credits. The program enables you to create your own individualized curriculum.
Adapt studies to a particular profession or postgraduate program. The curriculum of students applying to professional programs or graduate school can be tailored to their educational requirements.
- Choose from a variety of BIS options, including pre-architecture, pre-medicine, pre-law, and pre-urban planning.
- Receive credit for applicable workplace education.
- Build on a diploma or associate degree. Students with a two-year diploma (equivalent to 60 credits) from another institution can cascade into the BIS degree.
- Through Co-op Education placements, students can investigate career options.
- Conduct your own research.
- Work closely with knowledgeable and experienced faculty mentors.
Program structure
As part of the required 60 credits in the BIS degree, students must complete the three required IDIS courses.
Graduation
- The minimum requirement for graduation is 120 credits (60 diploma or degree program credits + 60 additional academic credits after admission to the BIS.)
