Program description
The Faculty of Science is dedicated to providing its students with a high-quality education that emphasizes individual attention, freedom of choice, and adaptability. In the Bachelor of Science program, students can anticipate to gain practical, hands-on experience in a variety of science disciplines in the classroom, lab, and field. In addition, there are opportunities for students to engage in the research laboratories of nationally and internationally renowned professor-researchers.
The BSc is a demanding program that provides students with a comprehensive science education. Promotion of communication and computer literacy The program's adaptability permits students to pursue interests in fields outside their area of specialization.
Many of our graduates have gone on to pursue science careers in fields such as medicine, veterinary medicine, medical genetics, elementary and secondary school teaching, resource management, high tech industry, biotechnology, optometry, pharmacy, dentistry, wildlife management, respiratory therapy, and more. Significant numbers of TRU Science graduates have excelled in graduate school and received NSERC funding to continue their education.

- Tuition — 8,861 CAD/semester (up to 12 credits)

Requirements for applicants
- English Studies 12/English First Peoples 12 with a minimum of 73% (or equivalent)
Bachelor of Science majors have specific first year course requirements. It is strongly recommended that students become familiar with the prerequisite requirements for these courses before applying for admission. In general, the minimum prerequisite requirements for courses in the first year courses in the BSc programs are as follows:
- Life Sciences 11 or Anatomy & Physiology 12 with C+ (or equivalent) or better
- Chemistry 11 (or equivalent)
- Pre-calculus 12 with a minimum C+ (or equivalent) within the past 2 years
- Physics 11 (or equivalent)
