Program description

Combines rigorous training in physical world ideas and concepts with hands-on experience in electronics, computing, data acquisition, optics, and other basic subjects. A solid foundation for students to expand their knowledge in applied science and technology areas.
Graduates are employed in high-tech industries to conduct scientific study and development. The major is also an excellent place to start if you want to work in law, medicine, architecture, teaching, or dentistry.

The department offers the Bachelor of Science in physics in two study tracks: with and without the co-op work experience option. This degree's academic specialization prepares students for further study (graduate) in physics and astronomy, while the co-op component provides extensive practical and hands-on experience in a variety of applied scientific disciplines.
