Program description
Develop your skills as a leader and manager in the rapidly expanding field of tourism. The BTM focuses on key issues in local, regional, national, and international tourism, with study abroad and field school options for international experience. Learn the skills and confidence needed to start your own tourism business and meet the growing demand for tourism managers.
Graduates learn how to provide excellent tourist experiences, build and manage tourism businesses with an entrepreneurial spirit, and contribute to community growth in an environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable way.
The unique combination of theory and practice produces competent graduates who quickly apply the skills they gained as students to their careers:

As part of their course work, students in the BTM in Adventure Studies can participate in numerous project based learning opportunities. A field school is offered every year to give students hand on experience with an adventure tourism development project.
Program structure
Within the Adventure Studies or Tourism Management stream, you can choose either the general program or one of three majors. For General program, you have the option of adding a concentration.

- Tuition — 8,861 CAD/semester (up to 12 credits)
- Application Fees — 100 CAD (one time, non-refundable)
- General Fees — 553 CAD (per semester for 12 credits)
- Health Fees — 75 CAD (per month)
- TRUSU Extended Heath & Dental Plan — 248 CAD (per year)
Requirements for applicants
- Grade 12 (or equivalent) or mature student status
- English Studies 12/English First Peoples 12 with a minimum of 73% (or equivalent)
