Program description

A Tourism Studies major in the Bachelor of Tourism Management (BTM) programme will assist in the development of tourism professionals who have a broad, interdisciplinary grasp of tourism planning and management problems.

Discover the expanding needs of the adventure travel business. Tourism experts are needed by governments, businesses, organisations, and communities to help create, direct, and market adventure experiences in their villages, cities, regions, and countries.

Understand tourism as an industry as well as an essential sociocultural activity in today's increasingly mobile world. Students investigate the social, environmental, and economic contexts of tourism while developing strong management skills that will position them to thrive in public, non-profit, and commercial sector organisations — or to join tourism's dynamic entrepreneurial scene by creating or growing their own ventures.

You can choose either the general curriculum or one of three majors within the Adventure Studies or Tourism Management stream. You can choose to add a specialisation to the General programme.
