Program description
A Bachelor of Health Science (Clinical Nutrition) degree examines the effects of nutritional, dietary, and lifestyle determinants on health, as well as how therapeutic nutritional intervention might improve wellness. This bachelor's degree provides hands-on experience at the student-led Practice Wellbeing Centre, where public patients are treated under the supervision of qualified nutritionists. A nutrition degree will prepare you to begin clinical nutrition practise in the community with confidence.
This course will teach you the fundamentals of health science, such as human biology, physiology, and pathology, as well as the fundamentals of research and evidence-based practise. You'll learn how to use food and other nutritional factors to increase wellness at the individual, community, and population levels. You will acquire hands-on experience treating public patients in our custom-built student-led clinic, The Practice Wellbeing Centre, under the supervision of qualified nutritionists. Work-Integrated Learning and clinical practicum experience are integrated into theory areas and are imbedded throughout the course.
