Program description
A Bachelor of Interior Design (Commercial) degree prepares students to design the ever-changing characteristics of contemporary commercial environments, such as retail, hotels, restaurants, nightclubs, and workplaces. It anticipates online virtual commercial settings, engages with modern theory, and uses computer 3D modelling to portray spatial environments.
Throughout this course, you will investigate the theoretical and practical aspects of designing and fabricating commercial interiors - branding, lighting, sustainability, and materiality - in order to create settings that satisfy the needs of your clients. You'll learn how commercial interior design strategies are created and evaluated, as well as practical industry-based management skills like documentation, contract management, professional design practise, and cross-disciplinary interaction. Using industry standard software, you'll learn how to communicate information related to interior design, costing, and construction, as well as how to portray spatial contexts. The course immerses you in contemporary theory while also providing an overview of the leading interior-design trends and a look ahead.
A double degree with a Bachelor of Business is also available.
