Program description
In order to meet the demands of modern living, a Bachelor of Interior Design (Residential) degree will educate you both fundamental theory and useful design abilities. In order to start a creative career as an interior designer, you will graduate with a solid foundation in design best practises.
In addition to learning about the finer points of interior design for homes, such fixtures and fabrics, this course also explores societal challenges like our ageing population, homelessness, shifting gender roles, and the concept of family. You'll learn how your design can be impacted by the materials you choose, the lighting you use, the joinery you use, and the furniture you use. You'll also learn about cutting-edge technology like artificial intelligence and interactive audio-visual systems. From a practical standpoint, you will actualize residential spaces through expert design practise, cross-disciplinary interaction, technical documentation, contract management, and visualisation solutions.
A bachelor's in business is required for this dual degree.
