Program description
The Master of Counselling (Advanced) certification has been developed to equip you for a position that uses counselling and coaching skills in a specialist work context, or in community and commercial settings to encourage positive human transformation. Through a variety of theoretical and practical skills, the training enhances your ability to provide counselling and support at all phases of life.
You will be equipped with a wide range of skills to assist good interpersonal communication in business, community, education, and wellbeing contexts, as well as to encourage sustained resilience and professional boundaries. This approved master's degree is the highest level of counselling training available in Australia, and it provides students with a complete setting in which to practise their counselling abilities. This degree has also been created to satisfy international study needs.

Admission criteria
- Australian bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent, OR
- Australian bachelor's degree or equivalent in a non-related field of study and the completion of the Torrens University Work Life Entry Form and successful completion of the Torrens University Graduate Certificate in Counselling
English Language Proficiency
- Equivalent IELTS 6.5 (Academic) with no skills band less than 6.0 (or equivalent TOEFL, CAE or PTE).
