Program description
Those working in the field of education can take advantage of the opportunity to further their education and build their competence in specific areas of theory and practice by enrolling in the Master of Education (Advanced) program. This course will provide students with the information and skills they need to make a difference in the creation of programs, policies, and projects by building on research in the areas of social justice, leadership, and inclusiveness.
There are three areas of expertise to choose from:
- Innovation and Leadership
Acquire in-depth theoretical and practical understanding of educational opportunities and threats through a leadership perspective. Get the skills you need to respond effectively, comprehend the function of technology in today's classrooms, and evaluate new approaches to education with an eye toward improvement.
- Inclusive Literacies
Explore literacy methods with an emphasis on identifying and helping those who need it. Acquire the skills necessary to manage reading proficiency in settings with a wide range of languages and cultures. This course will teach you how to bring about change in the design of programs, policies, and projects by drawing on research in the fields of inclusion, leadership, and social justice.
- Inclusive Education
This course prepares students to meet the needs of students with a wide range of learning styles by using a person-centered approach. It prepares you to aid people with mental health issues, neurodiversity, autism, and other neurodivergent conditions by drawing on evidence-based research and pedagogy and consulting with neurodivergent communities.
