Program description
A Master of Special Education (Advanced) degree is designed for overseas students who desire to serve persons with a variety of special educational challenges while also filling a much-needed teacher shortage. This course, in particular, focuses on problem-solving from a person-first viewpoint, informed by advanced theoretical knowledge.
This course analyses concerns and challenges experienced by people with a variety of additional learning requirements using a Design Thinking methodology. It emphasises on problem solutions from a person-first perspective, informed by advanced theoretical knowledge. Because this is not an official Australian Initial Teacher Education course, the student is not qualified to teach in Australia.
