Program description
Are you eager to lead the discussion and create transportation alternatives for the future? You can do that with the aid of the new BSc (Hons) Automotive and Transport Design degree offered by UCA Canterbury.
The urgent need to decarbonize in response to the climate emergency and a social and cultural shift in attitudes toward automobile ownership and use, as well as public transportation, are driving major transformation in the automotive and transportation industries. With a strong emphasis on the human, spatial, tactile, and material experiences of the future of transportation, you'll be prepared to lead design thinking and policy in this industry after completing this course.
You'll have access to UCA Canterbury's incredible facilities, which include cutting-edge fabrication and testing methods, cutting-edge 3D scanning and VR technology, as well as a variety of conventional craft-based workshops, photography studios, and print facilities, to effectively create your concepts and develop your skills and design practice. You will have the ability to construct your own highly individualized design identity and style, as well as to establish your own distinctive specializations, such as cutting-edge materials or personal mobility systems.
You will receive assistance from our academic staff, benefit from our strong industry connections, and take advantage of collaboration possibilities within the School of Architecture & Design.
You can enroll in an Integrated International Foundation Year, which was created especially to give international students English language and creative skills before they start their first year of study.
In order to ensure that you graduate prepared for the workforce, you will gain experience working with industry through actual project opportunities, masterclasses, and optionally a professional work placement if you choose the Professional Practice Year pathway.
