Program description

You have the opportunity to study ceramics and glass in the center of a town with World Craft Town status on our BA (Hons) Ceramics & Glass degree at UCA Farnham, where you'll have access to UCA's considerable craft knowledge.

You will learn how to blow glass, work with hot glass, and make lovely ceramic items using methods like wheel-throwing and kiln-firing.

The course supports your exploration of all ceramics and glassworking techniques, including both classic and modern techniques, by embracing various approaches to craft. While concentrating on your selected specialties, you'll get to experience materials and procedures from both fields.

You will acquire the skills, expertise, and confidence necessary to advance in your profession, whether that involves opening your own studio and independent brand or joining an established company and teaming up with others.

You can enroll in an Integrated International Foundation Year, which was created especially to give international students English language and creative skills before they start their first year of study.

You will have the opportunity to complete a Professional Practice Year as part of this programme beginning with the 2022 entry. You will have the chance to reach your full professional, academic, and personal potential as a result, giving you the tools you need to operate confidently and enthusiastically in creative environments. These abilities are highly recognized by employers, and a sizable percentage of placement students receive graduate-level employment offers or continue on to postgraduate study.
