Program description
Our fascinating BA (Hons) Design for Theatre and Screen degree will teach you how to create dynamic environments, costumes, and props for stage, film, and television.
You'll learn all the fundamental design, making, and technical skills you'll need for your career and put those skills into practice as you participate in work placements and collaborative projects, like working with TV Production students at Maidstone Television Studios. In an industry where designers and makers are expected to be all-rounders who can work with a wide range of professionals.
Additionally, you'll get a deeper grasp of the field by learning about the theory and history of theatre and film, which are supported by the history of art and design.
You can enroll in an Integrated International Foundation Year, which was created especially to give international students English language and creative skills before they start their first year of study.
As a part of this degree, you have the option of finishing a Professional Practice Year. You will have the chance to reach your full professional, academic, and personal potential as a result, giving you the tools you need to operate confidently and enthusiastically in creative environments. These abilities are highly recognized by employers, and a sizable percentage of placement students receive graduate-level employment offers or continue on to postgraduate study.
