Program description

The BA (Hons) Fashion Image and Styling degree program at UCA will position you as a key figure in the fashion business, enabling you to design looks and concepts for every setting, including movies, the red carpet, the High Street, and magazines.

At the forefront of the fashion industry, fashion image gurus and stylists work with social media influencers as well as on fashion shoots and celebrity events. You will learn everything you need to know in this course to work in the fashion industry, whether it be styling, filming, illustrating, or curating.

You'll learn how to handle any brief throughout the course, from styling a fashion show to making an Instagram series, directing a pop video, or even inspiring an entire creative team to work toward a common objective. You'll also explore the frequently underappreciated role of fashion image creators. Along the process, you'll take advantage of our enormous fashion facilities, have access to a plethora of industry knowledge, and sharpen your styling, video and photography, image-making, event and show curation, even virtual concept-building, talents.

Our graduates have gone on to work in fashion styling at i-D Magazine and Net-a-Porter, presenting and hosting fashion events in London, New York, and Milan, as well as in events and creative direction at M&S and Gucci.

You can enroll in an Integrated International Foundation Year, which was created especially to give international students English language and creative skills before they start their first year of study.

As a part of this degree, you have the option of finishing a Professional Practice Year. You will have the chance to reach your full professional, academic, and personal potential as a result, giving you the tools you need to operate confidently and enthusiastically in creative environments. These abilities are highly recognized by employers, and a sizable percentage of placement students receive graduate-level employment offers or continue on to postgraduate study.
