Program description

With our BA (Hons) Game Design degree, you'll acquire the knowledge and abilities required to succeed in the video game industry's rapid expansion.

With interactive digital experiences embedded in everything from consoles and virtual reality (VR) to Smart TVs and mobile phones, the games industry has experienced the fastest growth among all entertainment sectors since the turn of the twenty-first century; its global revenue is almost twice that of the film industry.

Your success in this course will be aided by the skills you acquire, which are transferable to the broader creative sectors as well as the development of digital games. From board and card games to pervasive mobile experiences and digital games, you'll master user-centered design across a variety of media. As the course advances, you'll also study production processes and collaborate with others to create a variety of portfolio items.

You can enroll in an Integrated International Foundation Year, which was created especially to give international students English language and creative skills before they start their first year of study.

As part of this degree, you can also choose to complete a Professional Practice Year. You will have the chance to reach your full professional, academic, and personal potential as a result, giving you the tools you need to operate confidently and enthusiastically in creative environments. These abilities are highly recognized by employers, and a sizable percentage of placement students receive graduate-level employment offers or continue on to postgraduate study.
