Program description
If you're interested in pursuing a career as a sought-after Technical Artist in the gaming business, our BSc (Hons) Games Development course is ideal for you.
User-Centred Design (UCD) and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) are the cornerstones of this career-focused degree program at UCA Farnham. You'll learn how to take the user into account at every level of the game design and production process.
You'll have access to the most cutting-edge technology and software while you learn about game design, including Alienware Aurora towers, 4K dual screens, RTX 2080 graphics cards, SSD HDs, and Unity and Unreal games engines for prototyping. You'll be able to test your games on the most recent Dev Kits, including ones for the Nintendo Switch, as the course advances.
You'll have many opportunities to work with students on that program while you create game prototypes together because this course is taught alongside the reputable and well acclaimed BA (Hons) Games Arts degree. Additionally, you'll get to participate in Game Jams with your peers from all of our games degrees, which mimic how teams and businesses develop their ideas.
You can enroll in an Integrated International Foundation Year, which was created especially to give international students English language and creative skills before they start their first year of study.
As part of this degree, you can also choose to complete a Professional Practice Year. You will have the chance to reach your full professional, academic, and personal potential as a result, giving you the tools you need to operate confidently and enthusiastically in creative environments. These abilities are highly recognized by employers, and a sizable percentage of placement students receive graduate-level employment offers or continue on to postgraduate study.
