Program description

Our brand-new BA (Hons) Interior Design degree at UCA Canterbury bridges the gaps between architecture, fine art, and spatial practice by examining real-world difficulties to modify interior spaces, both new and ancient.

Together with students from the School of Architecture and Design, you'll develop designs for a range of contexts while also debating and analyzing the designer's place in modern society.

You will interact with design briefs as agents of social, cultural, political, and economic change through experimentation, play, and study.

You will develop into a confident and creative interior designer with an emphasis on social responsibility, materiality, specification, and careful control of the complete human experience in interior spaces as a result of this intense combination of practical and research-led study.

You can enroll in an Integrated International Foundation Year, which was created especially to give international students English language and creative skills before they start their first year of study.

In order to ensure that you graduate prepared for the workforce, you will gain experience working with industry through actual project opportunities, masterclasses, and optionally a professional work placement if you choose the Professional Practice Year pathway.
