Program description
With our BA (Hons) Printed Fashion Textiles degree program, you can turn your love of color, texture, and pattern into a profession in fashion while having the ability to experiment and create in both conventional and cutting-edge methods.
This course distinguishes itself by providing you with the abilities to become not just a great fashion designer but also a specialist in print design as you gain an in-depth understanding of a number of approaches through a wide range of design-led projects.
You will have plenty of room in an open studio setting to hone the aesthetic, creative, and practical abilities you need to work with contemporary textiles. Your printed designs could be turned into anything, such as a fashion-forward clothing line, fabric designs, accessories, or textile artwork.
You'll have several chances to showcase your skills along the way. You'll have the opportunity to work on real-world industry projects, display your creations at events like Graduate Fashion Week and the New Designers Exhibition, and take advantage of the department's connections to companies like Westcott Studios, Alexander McQueen, Peter Pilotto, Material Lab, and Alexander McQueen.
You can enroll in an Integrated International Foundation Year, which was created especially to give international students English language and creative skills before they start their first year of study.
You will have the opportunity to complete a Professional Practice Year as part of this programme beginning with the 2022 entry. You will have the chance to reach your full professional, academic, and personal potential as a result, giving you the tools you need to operate confidently and enthusiastically in creative environments. These abilities are highly recognized by employers, and a sizable percentage of placement students receive graduate-level employment offers or continue on to postgraduate study.

Requirements for applicants
If you do not have qualifications from the United Kingdom, we will accept equivalent qualifications from your native country for admittance into our programs.
In addition to academic credentials, some of our courses require a portfolio of previous work.
For our Bachelor's courses, we usually require that you have:
- High school leaving certificate or equivalent.
- A transcript showing successful completion of one year of a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university with CGPA 3.8.

Portfolio requirements
For these course, you must perform an individual piece as an audition. This piece can be up to two minutes long and can be one of the following: a brief modern text (play or screenplay); a short piece of Shakespeare; or an original work you have composed.
