Program description

Our innovative BA (Hons) Textiles degree program at UCA Epsom is a fantastic option if you're interested in pursuing a career in sustainable textiles as consumer demand grows for such goods.

We are one of the few schools that offers a curriculum that covers such a wide range of niche textile topics as eco-friendly dyes and printing, eco-friendly material creation, and 3D created processes.

Color theory, materials science, and environmentally responsible development are only few of the topics covered. Using bespoke, hand craft, and cutting-edge digital technologies, we'll introduce you to industry fabricators who prioritize ethical and environmentally responsible sourcing, material recycling, and waste reduction.

You will acquire the skills necessary to conceptualize and articulate your textile-related design, décor, art, or building plans to the business world. Through lectures, seminars, and group projects, students are introduced to concepts such as creative identity, work placement, industry links, careers, and professional practice, and the business of textiles and fashion.

Many of our graduates who are focused on the future go on to work for well-known companies, found their own enterprises, become designer-makers, textile artists, academics, researchers, sustainable managers, and change-makers.
