Program structure

Term one

  • Exploring Research Materials

You will explore several researchable sources, items, and artefacts in this course, which will inform the research materials for your project. Different results and research outcomes will arise from your choice of research materials. You will discover what can be included in your research projects, the knowledge that can be gained via their analysis, and how this might influence your project from the proposal to the finished product.

Term two

  • Exploring Research Methods

The focus of this unit will be on various research methodologies, and we invite you to investigate how your academic research approach might be influenced by present and growing global, ethical, and sustainable concerns and implications. You will be introduced to the newest research methodology and cutting-edge ideas supported by professionals from business and academia who are leaders in their fields. You will have the opportunity to learn about conducting research and to examine conventional techniques throughout this unit with the aim of discovering your own distinctive strategy. This section will walk you through the process of investigating the effects that using various research methodologies can have. You will refine your grasp of what your overall project proposal could be by using this knowledge. You will be urged to keep track of your work in your research journal, using it as a tool to assess the compatibility between your concepts and the many research techniques you will discover throughout the course.

Term three

  • Final Thesis

This unit is focused on creating your final thesis, which will be the output of your studies and incorporate the fresh research materials and techniques you have created over the course of the previous two units. Your thesis will be formatted and distributed in a way that is appropriate for your individual career goals. Your final thesis, which should start with the most recent iteration of your project proposal, should show that you have advanced skills and provide sophisticated research findings that show you are aware of the new global, ethical, and sustainable concerns that are shaping the fashion business.
