Program description

There are fantastic educational and career prospects in the humanities and plant sciences intersection because of shifting cultural views and practices, continuous scientific advancement, and recent technological and commercial innovation. Commercial areas experiencing great growth both domestically and internationally include the production and services connected to marijuana (both recreational and medical), industrial composting and the development of organic building materials, and plant-derived consumer, health, and beauty products and services. Communities of all sizes are simultaneously investing in native plant nurseries and cultivation, urban agriculture and agricultural tourism, seed libraries and seed conservation, and shared green areas.
