Program description

Rural communities frequently deal with a wide range of issues, including public health crises, systemic racism, economic stagnation, population decline, environmental degradation, and, for many Indigenous people, the lingering effects of a long history of deliberate neglect. You will discover how to generate opportunities for overcoming these obstacles through agricultural production, e-commerce, environmental entrepreneurship, sustainable tourism, and innovation in the public and applied humanities in the Rural Leadership & Renewal concentration. Project planning, community enrichment, environmental stewardship, entrepreneurial strategy, innovation literacy, and intercultural competency are among the skills you will acquire along the process.
