Program description
The study of governance, public policy, and the political conduct of individuals and groups is known as political science. Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degree develop analytical and clear communication skills (writing, arguing, and presenting). Students study the theory, procedures, institutions, principles, legislation, policy, international relations, foreign affairs, concepts, and methodologies that form the basis of political science. Outside of the classroom, students are encouraged to take advantage of opportunities including internships with government offices and nonprofits, such as the Arizona Legislature, the Arizona Superior Court, and political campaigns.
